The roots of this pizzeria are deep, and so too is the design language. We wanted to create a space that felt established and would have customers wondering how they had never visited M & T before. While the restaurant was brand new (in 2020), converting a vacant auto garage, special attention was given to subtly hinting at long-standing tradition. For example, several variations of red vinyl was used to upholster the booths, indicating that over the years, the seats had been repaired. The concept of time was expressed throughout, with an overall dive-bar aesthetic setting the tone.
